Kansas Legalizes Machine Guns, Silencers, and Sawed-Offs

Kathleen Sebelius signed a bill Monday to legalize the possession of such weapons. The state banned owning machine guns in 1933, but some legislators said a change was necessary because legal questions threaten to keep dealers from delivering weapons to law enforcement agencies.

Supporters believe the bill will benefit mostly collectors because machine guns typically cost at least $20,000. Also, anyone wanting to own such weapons must undergo two federal background checks.

"I can't even afford them," said Sen. Phil Journey, a Haysville Republican who is a strong gun-rights advocate and championed the bill. "There may be some very happy collectors who have significant disposable income."

The bill had bipartisan support among legislators and passed both chambers with more than the two-thirds majorities necessary to override a veto.

I'm sure the law doesn't make it so you can't buy an old $200 double
barrel and make a pistol out of it at your house, and walk around with
it.

Even if you could legally make one in that state so what?

I'm furious about the silencers. WTF IS UP WITH THAT? There is no need for one to have a silencer. Matter of fact silencers should be illegal nationally and mandatory jail time of 5 years or more. That is just straight bullshit if I ever seen it.

A silencer is no more dangerous then the gun its attached to, which is no more dangerous then the person thats holding it.

aren't silencers used for a tactical advantage? By suppressing the muzzle flash not to give away a position .... on top of the noise suppression..????

its was meant for both. So id doesn't make noise, give away your position, and doesn't blind you as much in the dark.

pistol, and it was used as a silencer so I tried it on a .22l rifle.

works awesome. But only for 2 shots. You can shoot in your house it's
pretty quiet.

Both good movies though, yeah the cow bolt thing was baaaaad ass!! And then when he brought out that shotgun and was blowing off limbs!! I was like, this dude . . . WOW
