MK2 Cupholders?

Hello all you MK2 drivers...

I was wondering if anybody had any cupholder mods. I'm going to be rolling the hooptie GTi for awhile, and I am sick of having to hold my damn coffee mug all the way to work. And flippin bitches with one hand sucks with no power steering. I tried wedging it between the seat and E-brake, but that sucks too.

Any advice?

I use the wedge drink between door and seat trick...

If you search on Vortex there are a few guys that have pulled the cupholders out of old Ford Tauruses and mounted them in the center console below the vents in that open space. One guy has a very detailed post with pics and instructions. It is actually a really good fit.

I used the one from a VW Eurovan in one of my Corrados, and the dual cupholder from a Passat in the other Corrado and our old A2 Jetta.
