Whats REVOing?

:confused: ok so i was going down the 55 FWY towards newport tonight and there was this little 1.8 GTI, it was an MK4, and he was moving pretty quick so i decided to pull up next to him and see how it went. we both took off, i was in my MK3 GTI VR6 and he was keeping up pretty good. in the end i pulled away or he backed off i dont really know what happen but yea. a little later we end up getting off at the same exit so i pull up next to him and ask him if his car is all stock or what was up cuz i didnt think he should be keeping up so easily. his response was the he was "REVOing" what the heck is that? does anyone know?

it means that heavy car needed a chip to stay even with your VR6, is your car stock? My not close to stock 2.0 will bang up a 1.8T pretty well. its that huge weight penalty, my car has been put on a diet too, so the gap widens.

yea my vr6 is all stock, well slightly modified. i put some holes in the bottom of my air intake box. lol. i dont think there is a diff. you said the 1.8 are heavy? heavy for the engine? or what? do they make that chip for my vr6 and would it help a lot?

for a chip, get one from Jeff Moss, the intake drilling + a K&N, works better than a cone filter, Techtonics proved it on a dyno, a MK4 is a bigger car, with more metal, wiring, insulation and crap than a MK3, a VR6 MK4 is heavier than your car by a couple hundred pounds if I remember.

wow so much hate from the VR6 dude. Well whatever, anyways that was me. I didn't say i was "revoing", i said i had a Revo. :confused: Not to gay bash like the other dude, but uhhh on the freeway when we were going at it i seemed to be tailgating you while on full throttle , then releasing throttle then stepping back on. THen when i pulled to the next lane uhhh i had like 10 yards or i'd get slammed into a car. But none the less you car is pretty quick. I was going to post to find out who you were, but you got to it before me. You seem like a cool dude so message if you got question comments or concerns.
