I concur. It's only like 30 minutes further!

but the prices for passes are drastically different. bear/summit is much more expensive.

Yeah, and so is the quality of the slopes. You get what you pay for IMO.

It really comes down to your situation. If you don't need to go to Bear or Mammoth, don't. Mt. High will provide just as much fulfillment, if that's the level you are on.

Unless the Mountain passes are closed and you have to turn around.

Bear gets busy on Sat/Sun too. I'd say get a bear pass.. unless you like to unstrap every 5 minutes.. cuz thats about how long it takes to hit the park and get to the bottom at Mt. High.

I ride both.. but much prefer Bear.

i definitely prefer bear, but mthigh is such an easy drive i could take MY snowplow of a car if they havent gotten any snow (which they rarely do).

Dude, I used to drive my MK4 slammed on B+G coilovers, with 18" wheels and CHAINS up to Bear at least 4 times a season. I think your ride can handle it.

But yeah, I haz 4x4! woot! You can ride with me to Bear one time maybez.

I will be back in Mammoth this season. Working Ski Patrol again. Although the US Forest Service is possibly going to keep me on year round and that means I would have to try and weasel a season pass before the season starts.

Yeah. Opener is slated for the 12th. All new info is posted regularly on mammoths website. Or you can check their facebook. My buddy runs both and updates them daily.

I can't wait for that first epic pow day.

The mthigh pass that's 300 works everyday. Ur bear pass is blacked out on holidays and peak weekends. It says the blackout dates on the back of the pass.

mt high is horrible... why would someone want to go to bear on a holiday anyways? too crowded... the 45 minute travel time to get up and down the mtn turns into a 2 hour nightmare drive...

Westridge is sick when its open. Some people perfer high due to the shorter drive and fun park to just lap. Bear is also fun when they have there contest season the rest of the time its just ride on boxes and booters. Although bear has way better jumps, Highs jumps are a joke.
