Today I went to ABD in Riverside to get a little help installing a Samco turbo inlet hose on my jetta. No I'm not lazy, but the Jetta is a tiptronic and anyone who's tried to install this on their own can tell you how much of a bitch this is if you don't have a lift. Anyhow, Chad over there hooked me up and did it fairly cheap. The car runs noticeably smoother and stronger. ABD also does routine maintenance work on VWs and Audi's. Their mechanic on staff is a certified VW tech. Anyhow, I'm going there for service from now on instead of the dealership to avoid getting hassled for mods and to get better service. Besides, while I waited I checked out their showroom. Sme of the cars I got to check out were a Porsche Carrera GT3, Audi A6 RS6 conversion, 355 wheel HP GTI, bottom line, they kick the crap out of the dealerships for service and for customer service!

On top of it all, Dave Anderson, one of the owners took me for a ride in one of their new project cars, a 2005 Jetta. He said they'd be tuning it for some show coming up on the Speed Channel. Anycrap, I at first, along with many of you have said that the new Jetta looks like crap. I have now changed my mind. After riding in it, the damn thing moves and handles pretty damn well for stock; a whole lot better than the MKIVs did anyway. I also talked with Dave about their plans for the car and I think it's gonna look sweet once they fix it up. I think it has a ton of potential.

I don't want to make this to sound like a plug for ABD or anything, but they are a great alternative to the dealers for service. Better customer service, no hassleing about mods, and a kickass showroom to check out while you wait.
