Yeah, I've seen this as the M5 video, too. The dash looks more E39 BMW to me than MkIV Golf, but I could be wrong. Nonetheless, I think it's the same vid as the M5 one.

it looks like an M5. If you freeze the frame showing the seat you'll notice the stitching seems to match pretty well.

I highly doubt the RS4 was anywhere near stock. 380hp vs 400hp awd vs rwd, the rwd should have no issues pulling on the highway. less drivetrain loss on the M. Still would have been nice to know what was in both cars.

trust me, ive raced a couple cars in the M5 ... on the freeway, there's no way a R32 could keep up with a chipped RS4

And no, that was not an R32. Wrong dash, wrong vents, wrong rear view mirror, wrong engine sound. That was a VR6 GTi, probably only a 12V for that matter. Didn't sound like a 24V.

chip only on an RS4 will net in the high 500hp range ... and top of 189mph ;)

at least thats what one of the engineers at REVO said he did on his RS4 in europe

If you're going to post in a german car enthusiast forum, you should at least educate yourself on the correct numbers. US spec Mk4 R32 is 250hp, not 240. VW just pulled that number out of thin air to make the TT32 look better.

UK spec Mk4 R32s were 239hp, German spec Mk4 R32s were 241hp.

Not that 10hp makes that huge a difference when you're talking about a modded RS4, but since my R32 has a record of annihilating S4s of each generation at Qualcomm, I guess that means you gotta lump your S4 in the "pig" category too. :) Cheers

Well, I can't say that I really concern my self with newer VW's that much. Most of them can't touch me, so I really don't care about the power numbers(yes there are some sweet big hp high $$$ GT28 VW's that can kick my ass, I'm saying the majority)

But since we are commenting on a video from Germany that was filmed on the German Autobahn, in a "german car enthusiast forum" and the other car is a German RS 4 that was never imported to the U.S.(yes everyone knows that there are like 5 of them in the U.S.), and you so clearly stated that German R32's came with 241hp, I have to say that it sounds like I WIN.:ha: :ha:

And don't kid youself the 10hp wouldn't make a difference on a stock RS4.

If you were taking out some S4's in the 1/8, I'm not surprised. The S4 needs to hit 3rd before you can really see what she can do. And if you're not a really good driver, the S4 bogs really hard when you launch. So most people tend to baby it out of the whole and then hit it hard.

I'd love to do some pulls tonight at Fusion to see how much heat your R32's packin'. Lets see what that VW can do on the highway.

8.63 @ 81mph, haven't been beaten by an S4 yet. Also haven't seen an S4 run an 8.49, but I trust you on that one. Most of them I've run have been hitting 8.9 - 9.1

Will have to be next week, I drove the Corrado out tonight. But I've pulled hard on a B5 S4 (with APR stage 2 chip, exhaust, downpipe) on the 163, from 80mph up to 140mph, put him about 2 cars behind after starting even with him at 70mph. Seth ran chase car in his Z06 vette for that run, so I do have a witness to back it up. But I'd be happy to go do some more runs :)

My car does seem to put out a *lot* of power for what it is, 246whp/221wtq on the dynojet.

Sounds good to me. 246whp is pretty good for just a chip and exhaust for an R32. I'm still running stock exhaust, so this should be fun. I raced a siver R32 with black wheels up the 805N-15N last week. My windows were up, but I swear I heard a blow off valve. I tore him up pretty good, so I doubt he was turboed.

My buddy Justin- Jballou- said he runs 8.2 in the 1/8 mile, with stock turbos and he said that he had a shitty 60ft. time. So he should get better than that. He is a pretty good driver. If I drove his car I would probabily get around 9.2-9.3, I'm just not that good at launching the car.
