What have I started?
Get one.
The main differences between the WRX wagon and the 92X are:
1. Free scheduled maint with 92X
2. More sound material, so the 92X is quieter
3. 92X has the STi stearing rack, so it reacts better
4. Saab tuned suspension, but WRX parts will bolt right on
I think that the standard rebate is $5,000 for a 92X right now, but Saab Mission Viejo has a $6,000 March Madness rebate (they are adding $1,000 which is their standard profit on the car).

Very cool of you Steve.
By all means Manny get a GMS number. I have a GMS Stock number to use on my purchase. It makes it a deal that you pretty much have to do because it is so silly good.

You have to look at exactly what SAAB and Subaru did here. Yeah they used a WRX shell and remolded the sheet metal on it to make it more likeable to people who did not want a car with gigantic bug eyes. Some of the other differences you seem to be missing (AERO model Specific) are the fact that while it has the same power output of the standard WRX it did get the STI suspenion, STI transmission and STI AWD transfer case on it so that would account for your $3250 pricing difference right there. So if you had to do just the tranny to an STI tranny from the standard WRX box that is $4000 right there not to mention another $2500 in suspension pieces so you do the math.

The 9-2X has the same transfer case as the WRX does also the only thing different is that the STI offers Driver Controlled Center Differential (DCCD) AWD which neither the Saab nor the WRX has. I believe the transmission are also both the same on the 9-2X and the WRX. The STI tranny is a 6 speed not a 5 speed. But yes the 9-2X does have the better suspension of the 2, mutilink rear and aluminum lower control arm all from the STI. Any way you look at it either of the two cars will have one feature that the other doesn't. And no bug eyes for 04 or 05.
