We just did the first one on the 26th and I will be posting pics of it in the next day or so and the next one will be a mini GTG for the Riverside and OC people in the tail end of April.

FMIC will greatly improve the 9-2xAERO!! Good call on that one!

I heard different. If you are going to keep the stock turbo stick with the TMIC. Do with either a STI takeoff or an aftermarket one.

I don't see how top mount is better than a front mount. The problem is heat soak ...

Very bad turbo lag and warranty issues with a front mount.

Ok I have to disagree with you on this one as the FMIC is one of the first big upgrades that almost all Scooby guys do. I have a FMIC on my SAAB and I have no more lag than if I was driving my older SAAB that has a side mount IC. The location of the IC does not give it more or less lag in my experience but it does cure the heat soak issues of a Top mount IC.
Take an IC that is sitting ontop of a motor and gauge it for heat after sitting ontop of a hot motor. The principles of heat are that it rises so it stands to reason that if your IC is ontop of your motor you will suffer from faster heat soak and less cooling capabilities thus making less power overall.
Now with an FMIC (depending on the maker and design) is down low in front of the vehicle taking in fresh cooler air thus cooling the charged air even more and giving more power to the car overall through the range.
So you may want to check out the following link to check out how to properly figure out the efficiency of the turbo to determine the IC needs.

Yes I agree what you say is true. It does cool better but since his car is new I wouldn't chance it with a new car warranty unless it is a mod friendly dealer. And also it is just one more reason for a cop to pull you over.

The warranty part I agree with but as for the police......well all SAAB's have FMIC's stock so to put one on the 9-2x would not be out of character for a SAAB so I could not see it drawing police activity as a result.
