View Full Version : Photo Topic #1
Light
Be creative. Topics will stay fairly vague so that you can shoot as you interpret the topic and should allow for more creativity. End goal is for you to experiment in photography and learn from the experience.
DO NOT POST PICTURES IN THIS THREAD! Start your own thread so that all critiques will belong to just your post.
There will be a new topic every couple of weeks. Enjoy! and good shooting
Minor update: Usage of photoshop is allowed but please keep it to a minimum. Sharpening, color balance, etc is fine. Don't remove or add to the photo however. If you see a spec of dirt from your camera's sensor that's ok to remove. Don't remove a hand or a head that might have been in the way though. Also adding a simple black border can often help the image stand out ebtter

This is an awesome idea
Hate to try and get specifics out of the vagueness ... but is there a standard resolution we should aim for? My camera is old + basic, don't want to be posting small pics if everyone else is posting huge ones, or huge ones when everyone else is going small, etc.
Also, are there 'winners' or judges to make this more of a competition? Or is this just an idea with general guidelines, with all submissions completely independent?
Happy shooting!
P.S. no cheating! (i.e. using pictures you've taken in the past :p )
no winners, just critques by others. Standard resolution? hmm 1024x768 would be a good start. doesn't have to be huge, keep in mind this is simply to assist each learn. And to give you a reason to go shoot. :D new topic each 2 weeks, if we find we need them more frequently we'll make them every week
