Ok So I would like to get a list of the Indy mechanics you goto or the dealers that you goto and a short review of them. I think this will help some of hte folks who are new to the Volvo SAAB world when they need to find a decent place for service.
SAAB Dealer's
Saab of Mission Viejo -- they have done alot of extra work at no charge for me and continue to look at my car for free almost every time I stop by.

Anders is honest, knowledgable, trustworthy and fair. I have him do almost all the work on my car. He's also one of the nicest guys you'll meet. The only stuff that I haven't had him do are the warranty stuff, which the car goes to the dealer.

C&H Auto Brokers (http://www.autosweden.com/)
Volvos and occassionally Saabs.
All pre-owned cars in excellent condition as the cars are serviced completely prior to sale: all belts, filters, and fluids plus new rotors, brakes, and wipers; also replace tires and battery if needed, as well as re-upholster seats if needed. Basically anything you have done at a shop after buying a used car is done first, so you drive off and have nary a care until the next scheduled service.
Great experience with them and will enthusiastically refer anyone looking for a Volvo to check them out first.

just stopped by and checked out S&T Volvo & Saab in Murrieta. Small shop with a sharp guy running it. Told me to bring my own Mobil 1 and he'd charge me $14 for stock oil filter and $9 for the change.
Won't do custom work, but seems to know his stuff. Just FYI from n00b.

I don't have my 1984 900T anymore, but shortly after I moved to San Diego in 1988 I learned about Swedish Auto A.B. That was back when their shop was near the Sports Arena, and my Saab only had about 60k miles. (Bought it in 1987 with 52k)
They always did good work -- fixing what needed to be fixed, telling me about stuff that might cause problems in the future.
I moved to Hawaii in 1991 with 120k miles, but didn't drive that much... moved back in 1995 with 143k. Never found anyone I trusted over there.
After that I really started to put on the miles, and the guys at Swedish Auto kept my 900T running great. A lot of routine maintenance, a few replacement parts installed. Sometimes I'd pull in around 5 pm with a minor problem, they'd fix it while I waited, and on more than one occasion I wasn't charged...
Anyway, I retired the Saab in 2003 after 292k miles. It was still running pretty good, but the steering rack was leaking a lot of fluid (ATF is a lot cheaper than PS fluid.) Then, the power windows on both sides failed within a few weeks. It really, really needed new shocks. Everything else was still working, and I would not have hesitated to drive it across the country and back. I just needed something newer and more reliable, because I was driving 1000-1300 miles a week, and ideally something that would be better fuel mileage. So I replaced it with a Golf TDI.
Anyway, Swedish Auto is at 3565 Pacific Highway, across from Lindbergh Field, and their phone number is 619-295-6888. If I owned a Saab in San Diego, I wouldn't let anyone else work on it.
