I had a P-Flo, sounded damn good, but as far as performance, I didnt feel a thing. I switched it out for a Injen CAI, it sits kinda low to the ground but we live in SoCal were rain is pretty rare. And I did feel a difference in performance with the CAI.

any intake that sucks air in the engine bay is poorly designed and might as well just keep the stock airbox unless you want the sound

otherwise, look for CAI (cold air intake systems) like the Injen

If I get an intake, it'll have to be the Neuspeed one ... where I live most of the year right now we have rain/snow a lot, so CAIs are out of the question ... plus, the Neuspeed one is CARB-legal if you have either the Neuspeed chip or a K&N ... don't know of any other intake that can legitimately claim this, anyone know of another?

P-Flow and Quick flow blow nuts. I had a Velocity CAI, Evo MS CAI, and a K&N drop in.

When I put in the K&N drop in filter, i got rid of the divider on the top portion of the airbox and also used dryer duct tubing to run a "ghetto cai" down to the lower part of the bumper. Filter = $45, tubing = $10.

K&N was probably the better of the 3 IMO.

I now run an Amsoil 2 stage airfilter in my truck and it supposedly beat out a K&N in a side to side comaparison.

Tait: if i were you, i would go with a CAI as manny and lon were saying! It is your best bet in getting the most HP for the $$$$

I actually run a cone filter right off my MAF and it makes power....i dynoed out the card at 154.6 at 140+ ft lbs in 110 degree heat and 4000 ft elevation in vegas a couple of weeks ago at the NHRA sport compacts i figure at sea level the car will make almost 160...car is bone stock other wise i want the Neuspeed unit myself since they are carb legal and the dam cops in daygo love popin hoods

i think the cone filter works sometimes ... it really depends i suppose on the setup of the engine bay ... but most people's configuration allows too much hot air from the engine

so it ends up gaining airflow, but also gaining heat into the airflow
