Ok so I know it's a Hyundai but hey it looks like they are finally starting to make a move to become a real car company.

Still not really liking the styling, but the specs look pretty good..especially the tq.

The motor specs are what caught my eye too. The exterior and interior are typical of most low budget cars but atleast its now a little bit better than the old Excell was.

a few subtle reminders.......

Seeing how they're citing the Avalon as a competitor, the styling is obviously for a conservative market. Stability control, anti-whiplash, and 8 air bags (front, front and rear side, and side curtain) for the safety minded ... if they can get excellent crash ratings in both IIHS and NHTSA, that's more for folks to look at 'em.

They've got a hit if they ...

- Got the suspension tuned to handle better than and ride less like a 1960's Buick, which is the problem with the current XG350.
- Got reasonable numbers for fuel economy. One or two below Toyota/Honda is ok. Any worse, and you'd lose a lot of market potential.
- Keep it priced around $25k to start.

-- Kane ... that's my take on it anyways.

I'd never buy a Hyundai, but they definately make quality and competitive cars finally.

My exgf got a V6 tiburon, those don't look half bad.

The tiburon is ok but it is just too gutless for the motor thats in it IMHO.

This one is a A little ricey but they have an ok look to them kind of like a baby Supra or Mustang. To each their own when it comes to them. I would never buy one but I have test driven them just to satisfy my curiosity about them.

You can't beat their 100k warranty!

Actually wasn't Isuzu offering a 120k powertrain warranty a couple years ago? Not that it matters anymore, what with them all but disappearing. Then there's Mitsubishi matching their warranty ... except Hyundai still has a better product for less money.

Anyways I trust the Hyundai surviving past both of 'em.
