Hey everybody,

I was going to announce a Streets of Willow event for the 21st & 22nd of this month, but received a surprising phone call from the Willow Springs management.

Apparently, they had a cancellation on the big track and wanted to know if I'd like to move my event over. They made me a deal I couldn't refuse and so I have another kind of announcement to make.

Willow Springs Int'l Raceway - $275 for two days!

I will provide shirts, food & drink for everyone. We will have instructors at the track and invite drivers and enthusiasts of all skill levels to come out and have a great time and a terrific track!!

Please visit our site (http://RacerFactory.com/events/register_wsir.asp) to register. For more information, go here (http://RacerFactory.com/).

Thanks!

Are you sure?

Hasn't the event gone from a private day at Streets .... to the Big Track... then back to Streets when the small group complained?

Details...

From Racer Factory Forum

Thanks for the input Hal, but I have been overruled. I got a call from Tracy today and we are going to switch back.

I am disappointed, but realize that I should not have made the change w/o consulting her and/or some others in the group.

Hopefully we can get that other track back!!

He obviously said it isnt set yet, so hold on to your buns and wait. I personally think i will enjoy SOWS more then big willow. Either way relax, a day at either track is going to be fun.

I'm very relaxed. I think it's important for everyone to know what's up prior to planning their attendance.

As much as I'd love to go, I will not be able to adjust prior commitments.

And if it is still a private event... well you know what that means.

Although the group that is scheduled for the day could not get 50 registrants after 4 months..... so there may be nearly 20 or some slots open.

That can be a problem with scheduling private days...

Hopefully some hot Euros can jump the day and show the MINI's how track driving is done.
Hahahaha

Just kidding. Or am I?

Why do they even call em Mini's? There about the same size as a Golf/GTI ???

oh please, let's not do a MINI vs GTi...

Keep it fun and upbeat!
Drive a MINI and you'll like it...
Drive one hard and you'll need it!

We arent, this is always a fun event where everyone gets along and has a great time. To me, it always boils down to who's driving what. Should be pretty interesting depending on what track we are running.

Okay, it is confirmed. We're going to be on Streets and not Big Willow. If anyone has signed up with the expectation of being on the big track and would like to back out, please contact me.
