hahahha... riiight!!
and ut soo wrong about vw/audi timing belts.. i've known people that only had 50k on their timing belt and it snaped.. infact it was my dad and he had VW look at it and they told him that he had another 50k on it. and that weekend.. SNAP!!! totaled the engine, VW had to replace the whole thing.. cheaper for them than to rebuild..
Amber's beetle (code3 nb) her bug had the similar thing.. and so on..
i get mine done every 75k.. and my serpaintien bealt at 100.. this round, it will have both done.. i've seen the shit people go threw.. i'll keep mine as new as i can afford

why don't ya give ingolstadt west a call and let them know that your timing belt will last the life of the car!! haha!! they kept the valves from the last guy that didn't change it before he hit 100k.. yeah it totaled his engine as well.. i just got mine changed the other day at 90k cause i can't afford to have my engine rebuilt... and damn my car runs sooooooo much better since then :tup:

Not tryin to thread jack but this is on topic. I heard before that I should have my Timing Belt and tensioner replaced at my 60k service. On the vw site is says not to change it till 105k. Should I still have it changed when I get my 60k service done? I have about 5500mi to go.
If you like to gamble you can, but they have a habbit of breaking. I have a few 20V heads in the garage with bent valves from people who like to gamble. I would do it at 60K
