Was able to find my coworker who was working the floor at the booth to bring me up to the PS3 display through the back exit since. No way in hell was I going to wait in that rediculous line that wrapped around the Sony Playstation Booth!

j/k.......nice pics. Was the lighting decent good enough for handheld or did you have a tripod?

Lighting was good in the display case. I took those hand held, and I suppose IS played a factor.

Did you shoot those with the 20D kit lens?

I shot it with the 28-135mm IS USM Lense (http://consumer.usa.canon.com/ir/controller?act=ModelDetailAct&fcategoryid=149&modelid=7337) :)

are you kidding? All the pictures are blown out. Composition sucks. and there is someones hand in one of the pictures. Buying an expensive camera and lens don't mean shit if you don't know how to use them.... just my opinion

Yeh people have to start somewhere I guess. I had a point and shoot digital camera prior which was limited in function but still takes decent pictures not with standing the replaced CCD which doesn't perform well under long exposure shots. I wanted to learn more and got a dSLR rather than another point and shoot, features of the Canon 20D appealed to me for a dSLR and thats what I got.

It's not like I got a Canon 1Ds Mark II or a Nikon D2H when coming from a point and shoot camera. Those cameras are crazy expensive, and I didn't think the 20D was that terribly expensive. And its not like I went for a L lense thinking that I can take excellent shots with acclaimed optics. I wanted a decent walk around lense that had decent zoom which I think the 28-135mm provides.

No one is perfect, even the best photographers will have an amount of pictures from thier batch that aren't great that they throw away. but you also have to work with the uncontrollable environment you are posed in.

I'm not saying that I'm an expert. Not like I'm doing this for a living, it is a hobby of mine. But constructive criticism is appreciated which I think is lacking.

No, I'm not kidding. I don't think Ron is either. I think the blown out look works for these images. I've seen much worse pictures taken with much better equipment.

The hand in the image is unfortunate, but you what is he supposed to do when he's jockeying with 4000 other people to look at some plastic boxes on a lighted platform?

Maybe you could be a little more harsh in your next photo review, I don't think your distaste for these photos came through very well. :p
