to day was the last drag race at carlsbad,, and yes it was the LAST DRAG RACE.. carlSbad as of tonight it will close its gates forever...THANKS to all who have come out and raced and supported the track its you guys that make it possible thanks,,it was a good turn out today.. saw lots of old faces even "THE SNAKE" cruised through..stopped and asked if he could have the sign at the starting line for his mini museum..said he had run many times here at the track. I'd also like to thank the management and VW PARIDISE for putting on the BBQ, I thinkd we all enjoyed it at least I did,, once again a so cal race track closes...its a sad day in my life..ive met lots of great people at the track.
domestic and import alike..i cant remember all the names so if you see me say hi ill remember your faces..thanks so much for making my 10 years in the staging lanes at carlsbad enjoyable..even though the track is closed..ALL racers are invited to bring thier cars out to CRUISING GRAND in escondido on sept 10..
bill pitts with the magic car nostalgia top fuel dragster has lined up 6 top fueler to come out they will all start up 2 at a time..,,,,come out and enjoy. once again thanks so much to every one, Ill miss you all and racing at the track..................................
