What happens to your suspension when you put a set of 19's on a A4 B5 with the sport package (stock 17's)?
According to my calculations a 17" 225/45 tire has a 25" rolling diameter and a 19" 235/35 tire has a 25.5" rolling diameter, therefore my car would be riding a 1/2" higher than now.
Is it worth getting coilovers for a 1/2" drop? Got any suggestions?
Thanks,
Belinko

thats cool how did you do those calculations? im putting 17's on my bimer and i like my ride hide low
i dunno about coilovers u can go with lowering springs also but its all upto you if u ever wanted to lower it more in the future go with coilovers
also depends how u like the ride feel with the 19's on and how it looks u might not even want to lower it
Actually your car's height will only increase by .25" Maybe a set of lowering springs instead of coil overs and you won't spend so much $. I had 19's on my S4 for a while with Eibach pro kit springs and it looked great w/ good ride quality. If you're looking for performance.....get the coil overs. just my .02
enjoy! 19's look great on the B5 chassis. I went backwards to 18's and StaSis coil overs.

also, the proper tire size for a B5 is 225/45/17 to a 225/35/19 to maintain the closest diameter
