I believe its still in beta testing.......and........with that i've heard to wait a tad for the actual release due to certain issues.

Just give it time......the conservatives will agree.

It is not a beta. It is a release. It just hasn't hit windows update yet.

Manufacturers and larger clients already have it as well as those with MSDN subscriptions.

Yep, the beta is over and final has been released. I upgraded last night and so far am without any compatibility issues. You can get it if you download the 225MB network distribution version (but it can be used for a single computer). The download only took me 11 minutes, so if you have a nice wide pipe, and are dying to have it, then go ahead and go here:

Ignore the warnings about not using it on one computer, it does the job just fine.

I dl'd it about a month ago, a few minor problems, but overall an improved OS.

I did the upgrade last night as well, and it's not caused any issues what so ever... in my case it sped up boot-up times and shut down times too. I am not sure if i like the "windows firewall" though... but time will tell.

I DL it and installed it on 3 computers so far. Seems to run great. Not very many noticable differences though.
