A friend just stopped buy and asked me to check out her car. It's an 01 Audi TT Convertible. She ran over some kind of parking block. She ripped off the Skid plate, Dented the radiator, Cracked the Bumper and Dented what looked like an intercooler pipe. The Piping is just behind the radiator and isn't connected to anything. Both ends are open. There is a part of the pipe that goes up and twards the top driverside on the engine. What is this pipe and it there a purpose for it? I drove the car and there is no CEL and the turbo is connected to the Side mount on the passenger side. So can someone help me out with my couriosity?

Thats only used as an intercooler pipe in the 225s... In a 180 its just a support piece. In a 225 it links the dual SMICs together but you'll notice its a pretty beefy pipe. It also serves as a structural piece of the vehicle in all TTs.
