so i took a road trip... not just a lil' road trip.. and i had a great time.. from Lancaster, CA to Fort Walton Beach, FL.. 2,153 miles, 31 hours, 2 days.. yeah, it was crazy... but fun.. i finally got a few of my favorite pics together and wanted to share them.. i apologize ahead of time for not being a great photographer :rolleyes:

this isn't all of my pics, of course, but just a few.. one thing i was reminded of during my trip:

often times people take for granted just the simple pleasure of driving... I'd have to say that everyday people are the culprit for killing the spirit of the open roads.. traffic jams and fender benders only blind us to the excitement of hitting 85 on an open road, and nothing in the world can substitute the excitement of a fast car.. there's no drug in the world, nor any liquor in the bar i'd have given up a single minute of driving on those deserted highways along my trip.. ;)

not very many.. i saw a bunch of jettas in houston with rice accessories and then i met a guy with a rabbit with a 1.8t conversion.. i posted up pics a while ago http://www.socaleuro.com/forum/showthread.php?t=5863 :tup:

Its been damn warm ever since I left, can't believe there's still snow on the peaks.

Pic #2 is obviously eastern CA / western AZ on I-40 ... can't remember exactly where that spot is, but I totally recognize that exact piece of interstate. That clear sky looks amazing! :tup:
