for people's info, most of the japanese forums have moved the Tuesday night GTG to a new location ... so that means we dont have to worry about a large crowd of people

and i think its easier to keep our tuesday night GTG since they have moved

we can continue using fusion and KK as our spots

I usually try to stay out of this type of stuff. But I am also sick and tired of seeing Lon catch all this crap for putting together GTG's and providing these forums, all free of charge to you. If you don't like how Lon is doing things then start your own forums with your own thread about your own GTG. Nobody's keeping you here and if your going to to continue to cause as much drama as some of you have been then I don't want you here.

Yeah its fine that people show up just to say hi and everything no problem with that ... but when people who show up leave, people leave with them ruining the GTG cuz pretty much all the cars leave. My point is that if everyone is just gonna leave and go to Fusion after 30 minutes, then just make the GTG at Fusion, that way everyone can have fun at the GTG for more than 30 minutes. Theres no point in having a GTG at KK if only 5 cars are gonna show up and everyone else would rather be at Fusion.

And as for the kickbacks, Ive heard a lot of rumors from a lot of people, not sure if theyre true? ... but Ive never received any discount at Fusion? :confused:

hmm, i used to be pro kk gtg until i realized the kk gtgs are boring and basically suck. pretty much what paul said... i'll stop by to see the people who don't like going to fusion, but after that i roll out because the people at fusion are cool and i like the atmosphere there. the mexican food and boba also help =) i guess my main problem is with the lack of parking but that wasn't a problem last week.

on a side note..... no offense but why are you getting so uptight about this when you don't really come anyway?? besides.. you, brett and i are leaving soon so who cares hopefully this all gets figured out and simmers down while we're gone. or something.

Lol I can't believe someone started a rumor that lon's getting kickbacks. Whoever started that is probably just upset that more people like Fusion than KK. It's just the vocal crowd that screams KK KK. The only reason why KK is on the rotation is because Lon was trying to be nice and make everyone happy which obviously won't happen. I know myself and many others just meet at Fusion regardless of where the meet officially is, and many who go to KK end up at fusion because they want to. Not because Lon or someone else is leaving.

As for the discounts at Fusion just let them know you're with the car "club" for the meet and they apply a 10% discount off the food/drinks. They usually do it without you even noticing.

Its a tea house so they have tea snacks and also some meals.

They have like spring rolls and egg rolls and calamari rings and french fries and wontons and etc....

Then they have different meals too that have rice and all that.

Its pretty good and pretty cheap.

disclaimer: i don't often go to the weekly sd g2g's since it's about an hour and a half drive for me...i've been to Tea Station about 3 times, KK about twice and to fusion only once...so put the appropiate weight into the following opinion:


personally, i liked fusion...it was good food and having that lil discount is nice...i was never a HUGE fan of the KK location simply because of the dimly lit lot...i haven't been recently but i'd think that fusion (size of the parking lot notwithstanding) is a great lil place....

and yes, folks, let's keep in mind that while this site is a democracy to an extent, we need to keep in mind all the hard work that goes into it...lon, et al. put a great deal of work into it..so we should respect their decisions...

I have been with socaleuro for about 8 months now and I have enjoyed every event and gtg I have been to. From what I have noticed Lon has always been willing to help people and create a good atmosphere for those that do not want drama, but an atmosphere for those who are into the euro or car scene. He puts his time and effort out to make this free....and that is awesome. People should learn to respect him for that not worrying about if he is getting kickbacks. As for Paul, I believe that I did your car at DUBWARS and you seemed like a nice guy! Paul is doing what any friend should do and that is to back up your friends. I gave lon the idea for dubwars tho, mainly because i knew the car would need to be washed lol. This site has always had it's share of drama dating back to when it first started 3 years ago. owner of Fusion was nice enough to offer some discounts for members that go there tuesday nights ...

Many of us were actually in seperate clubs back then... and STILL met up with eachother at the same place. Why? Because we all had something in common. Cars. It didnt matter that we were in different clubs or anything, we just had fun, and thats what out gtgs need to get back to. No more drama over where its going to be. I see points from both sides, but Im not gonna get into that. I go where the gtg is posted and nowhere else.
