are you able to remove the stock radio from the car without the special tools???? how? :confused:

You can but its alot easier with the tools.

You need to cut some strips of metal or an old credit card that are a little narrower than the slots in the front face of the stereo. You cut the ends off at an angle and the put the angled end in with the point on the out side. The tool actually pulls little tabs on the sides of the radio inward to release it.

With your own tools that you make, its difficult but can be done. With the proper tool it literally takes seconds.

See if you can just roll down to your local dealer or stereo shop and get them to pull the headunit for you real quick. Sometimes if you ask the guy around back real fast they'll do it for you.

that sounds cool.. sounds like i'll be rolling to the dealer unless someone in the av area has the tools??

It is gonna be fastest to hit up the dealer. Save you a lot of heartache too. Trust, I know.
