I moved up here (San Jose) 3 weeks ago, but car was in bodyshop gettin ready for a show (last weekend). Drove up here yesterday from LA in my Audi, so it's her first trip up north with full badges & fresh paint on the widebody.... my neighbors were either gawking or locking their doors as I rolled down the street mid-day in sunny, residential, tree & flower lined streets...
Last night grabbed my roomie to take him for a fun run, then we went grocery shopping.... came back out to the parking lot, and voila! She (my baby) has a girlfriend (the car has Hawaiian flower stickers too so I figured it's a girl).... haha... and this is in Campbell, where I'd venture to say ours are the two only modified cars for a good 10 mile radius.
Hung out for a bit but the owner didn't show up.
When I rolled into Yahoo Corporate HQ this morning I got a couple of looks. I parked wayyyy in the back. Have to see later if any other modded cars show up. I guess Santa Clara/ San Jose doesn't have a lot of modded Euro's? Hrm.. I know the East Syde does (Milpitas)....
