Background: OR is participating in the "Click or Ticket" seatbelt campaign, so they've stepped up enforcement of the seatbelt laws.
So, here it is, a beautiful spring day.
80 degrees, sunny, a nice breeze coming along...
I pull out of my road and head crosstown.
About 1 minute into my journey, I see a motorcycle cop by the side of the road.
He's parked in the shade of a tree wearing shortsleeves, kicked back on the seat.
No radar gun, no paperwork, just eyeballing the cars as they go by.
As I check my speed, I realize - "Damn, this guy is getting paid overtime to lounge around in the shade on his bike and occasionally pull over a tourist for not wearing a belt. That's a job I'd want on a day like this".
Sure enough, when I return from my journey, he's parked on the other side of the road in the shade.
Thus concludes this episode of _Job I want_.
