i got pulled over today by a motorcycle cop.... when i was on my bike. I was going for a ride to the rose bowl and was on a residential street and rolled through a stop sign and the cop pulled me over. laaaaaame.... the neighbors have been complaining about people rolling through stop signs... cars and cyclists. i ended up getting a warning so that was pretty sweet, but seriously... neighbors need to lighten up. the cop said he had a daughter going into college, i have his number on the ticket... think i should give it a try?;)

UNLESS, of course, you're speaking in general terms, however since you're responding to this thread in particular, I will take your statement to refer to addicted2thevr6's statement in particular.

It'd probably be a good idea to write it in caps, too, or maybe bold it for even more clarity...

Heh, happens up here all the time.

Of course, every few months or so in this town, some bicyclist goes sailing through a stop sign and gets flattened by a car, so maybe it's not a bad thing...

On a bike you're considered a vehicle and have to obey all the rules of the road, makes sense.

Not that I ever obeyed ANY rules when I biked .. but that was before I could drive.

At work last year one time, one of our officers was in line at a stop sign, in his squad car, when a kid on a motorized scooter (barely bigger than a razor) passed him and the other cars on the right and went right through the stop sign.
It was hilarious, talk about stupid.

my uncle rides thru ther often, also henneger *sp*........he got hit by a car during the past week, he's ok (been hit by countless cars on bicycle and motorbike---sadly i dont think its the last time either)......he's ok, not a scratch/scrape or anything but the bike is dead----he said he was looking for another frame anyway as he cracked it, so getting hit was an excuse to get a new one.........anyway be careful

Nah, he would have got stopped for that too. Anything motorized, bikes etc must ride in the street.

Whenever I'm walking on the sidewalk at school, it is so hard to resist the urge to shove the damn bike riders into the street when they ride by on the sidewalk.

hit one with your car and see if they are called a pedestrian. even though they are subject to moving violations they are still considered pedestrians
