Well I've been doing some thinking about the wide body kit....I really need some more power from my lil 1.8 8V to be running that kit, so I went out and ordered a kit...basically everything i need cept a few things I will need for the IC and some things needing to be welded, and also when I roll to the gtg's now I don't have to do my imitation blowoff :D

hey did you think off using a g60 head or the whole block that might be a little better than that 1.8 8v the gee6tee would take the abuse of the boost better.

just an idea .

I'm going to use the stock setup for now, not trying to run crazy boost or anything. I just want the car to move when needed.

thats an understatement, Mk1 GTI's weren't exactly a slouch to begin with!

Judging by the DOT label on those headlights, I assume they're NA-Spec and not e-codes?

- DESTINCTIVE European Beam pattern __/ __/
-Advanced Multi-surface reflector design and clear lens, also known as "FF technology" as developed by Hella over a decade ago.
-Produces 45% more luminous beam on low beam and 30% more luminous beam on high beam than conventional sealed beam headlamps.
-Glass lens!
-Die-cast aluminum reflector
-For more reliable quality and less tolerance in beam output performance.
-Replaceable H4 / HB2 12v 60/55w bulb (read: Cost effective & Light effecient)
-SAE/ECE approved, 100% street legal use
