Ahh yes...the monster miata conversion. The guy I bought my wheels from is building one, it's actually a relatively easy conversion. 460 hp and 2250 lbs!!! That's a power to weight ratio.

I'm sure there's some traction issues to be dealt with, but judging on the popularity of the mod, I'd guess the opposite is true.

yeah. those have been around for a long time. i used to work with the guy that started the company building them. they were building them up in escondido. the monster miata, which had the standard v8 in it, and the mega monster miata, which had a blown v8 with flared fenders etc. it only cost about $45k including the brand new miata. did 0-60 in about 4 seconds. not a bad price for a bad-ass little rocket!
