Well I will go if I am in town, but at the moment someone wants to fly me up to WaterWagon to run their B6 A4 at the drag event. I will be at Fontana this weekend running my car with the maf unplugged to see how it runs, this is for the summit racing event which only cost $25 each day to run in brackets.

BATTLE OF THE IMPORTS WESTCOAST OPENER
On Satuday, July 30th, the Battle of the Imports returns back to the California Dragway located in Fontana, CA for the second annual Honda Factory Performance Nationals. The CA Dragway marks the half way completion of the 2005 BOTI event series. The Westcoast is home to some of the quickest and fastest imports and sport compacts in the country. Located less than 45-minutes from greater Los Angeles area, a record number of racers, car clubs, sound competitors and fans are expected to attend the Califoria Dragway for this annual event. With an action packed schedule and an available cash and contingency purse of more than $50,000, you can bet the competition will be fierce in all heads-up and dial-in classes.

DEBUT OF THE TORCO/WEBCAM/BISIMOTO.COM HONDA INSIGHT DRAG CAR
Bisimoto Engineering has been synonymous with the unparalleled performance of the popular Torco/RSM/Webcam Honda CRX. In full unibody chassis structure, the CRX holds multiple world all motor/pro stock drag records, including, but not limited to, the world fastest and quickest naturally aspirated "true" unibody FWD.

HEADS-UP, DIAL-IN & FUN-RUN DRAG RACING FOR EVERYONE
The Battle of the Imports has a class for everyone. Ranging from the heads-up Pro and Street classes to the dial-in Sportsman class all the way to the fun-runs. Racers have a chance to compete for cash, contingency and trophies in 8-classes or can run for "fun" in the always popular Fun Runs. Two classes to watch closely this year are the Pro-Street, Street-Comp and the Street-Performance class.

HONDA FACTORY PERFORMANCES POSTS BIG DOLLARS
In 2002, American Honda launched its Honda Factory Performance (HFP) accessory program announcing kits for the Civic EX Coupe and the Acura RSX Type-S. This year, Acura announced it has re-launched its performance accessory program as Acura A-SPEC, a term signifying "the highest level of engineering quality", to brand Acura's program and differentiate it from its Honda counterpart, Honda Factory Performance (HFP).

Racers at the Battle of the Imports that win while driving either a Honda or Acura brand vehicle stand to win up to an extra $625.00 in cash. Racers must register at tech inspection and display the HFP decal. Makes other than Honda or Acura are not eligible for the contingency.

120+ AWARDS FOR IMPORTS, COMPACTS, TRUCKS, SUV's, MUV's and LATE MODEL DOMESTICS
The Import Racer! Magazine car show has quickly made a name for itself nationally as one of the most competitive shows series on tour. With over 100 awards to be handed out including Best Team Participation (Based on total points), Overall Best of Show, Overall Best Performance Vehicle, Best Female Vehicle, Best Full Size Truck, Best Sport truck, Best SUV and Best MUV car clubs from all over the Northeast will be representing to get a shot at a feature in a nationally circulated magazine.

"The last time we were here, the number of classes and categories have grown," commented Mike Agustin, Car Show Director. "The quality of the showcars out here awesome and we are looking forward to some serious competition this Sunday." For a complete listing of the show classes, click SHOW CLASSES.

Also on tour with the Battle of the Imports is the Valvoline Civic SI Challenge winner built by Greddy Performance (Irvine, CA). Highly regarded for their super-silent and SAE compliant Cat Back Exhaust Systems, GRreddy brought out a semi-stripped Si to the dance. The car sports 13.7-pound 16x7 Enkei RPF1's. To help get them spinning, another wheel was enlisted, though only three inches in diameter--a compressor wheel, that is. The T517Z (comparable to a 16G) turbo is included in GReddy's new T517Z turbo kit for the EP and is augmented by a tag team of key parts, namely the modified Civic Si Intercooler and the Evolution exhaust system. A Honda Factory Performance Body Kit was used to accentuate the Si's smooth lines.
