$580 million for a company that made 4 and a half million last year...
There's logic in there somewhere, but I guess that's why Rupert's a billionaire and I'm not. heh.

Tom is not even the true owner he is just the president of the company. Fox Media is the new TRUE owner. They plan on bringing media to MySpace and MySpace to Media.
That is what his $580,000,000 purchase was for.

Oh christ, Fox bought MySpace?
Looks like I might now have to break the addiction ... but not until I find something else equally worthy of wasting my time =\

no... i dont. you always seem to play the antagonist. no matter what the topic is, you always post a disagreement of some sort, with a pretentious remark or two.

Whoa there, lets not jump to conclusions .. I hate Fox because it represents a corporate evil, just like McDonalds, the oil monopolies, Pharmaceutical industries, etc. Politics has nothing to do with it.
Look at the trash programming Fox puts on TV. It is absolutely repulsive and despicable. Of course, I fully support the right for it to exist, but I also support my right to abhor it and speak my mind about the filth and stupidity disseminated by Fox, or any other corporate entity.
And since you had to turn it political, I hate liberals and conservatives equally. Chill our, Sergeant.

I'm just misunderstood. heh.
Only a completely unrelated note, did you know your sig is blocked by adblock on mozilla. I'm guessing because it has "banner" in the filename.

I just wish I had a cut of that paycheck... screw the politics and all that crap, It's all about the benjamins. I guess the guy that started it's partent company and then got fired a few years ago is gonna walk away with $58M of his own out of this. Thats pretty cool for a guy that got fired from his own company.

I wonder where Vortex might go, they're already strictly moderated, thanks to the Vortex Media Gruppe thing ... and with the transformation of the Car Lounge into the CarLounge.net (rather than just Vortex), seems like they might try to become an actual online/automotive media outlet.
Could mean good things though, its already such a huge community, it would be pretty damn innovative to make it legitimate as more than just a forum.
of course, there's so much bickering and hate permeating virtually every forum (or at least all the ones I frequent - Car Lounge, Regionals, sometimes mkIII) that the damage will be hard to reverse.
