don't forget that powder coating is thick so if you just do the centers you will have a tall ridge where they masked it off.

Even paint would leave a ridge, albeit a lesser one. The rim's design seems to allow a clean transition, though.

IMHO, anthracite/charcoal for centers look better - it more so defines the wheels than black centers/silver lip or solid black.

Powder coating itself is pretty inexpensive. The work is in the prep. The more prep you do yourself, the less the powder coating will cost.

Work with your powder coater, and ask them what you can do yourself in terms of masking/sanding/prep to lower the cost.

The actualy coating process shouldn't cost much at all.

Powder coating is about 6x's as thick as paint or more.

i dunno if its because you wheel is 1 piece......but i paid $60 for mine to be blasted and powdercoated (but mine are 2 piece, so i just gave them the centers)..........might just look into just getting the centers painted, because what the powdercoated told me is, that if youre gonna coat over the factory finish, it wont last as long and might be vulnerable to scratches even more so

If you paint the middle, that would look sick but too cliche at the same time.:D
