JUST A REMINDER... on Sept. 1, CELL PHONE numbers are being released to telemarketing companies and you will start to receive sale calls. YOU WILL BE CHARGED FOR MINUTES OF THESE CALLS...
To prevent this, call the following number from your cell phone: 888/382-1222. It is the National DO NOT CALL list. It will only take a minute of your time. It blocks your number for five (5) years. Or you can go to www.donotcall.gov (http://www.donotcall.gov/) <http://www.donotcall.gov/ (http://www.donotcall.gov/)>
Pass this on to all your friends.

Thanks for the reminder. Forgot to register my cell phone number after I switched providers and got a new number.

Adding your cell phone to the Do Not Call is never a bad idea, but cell numbers are not "being released" to telemarketers.
In fact, in almost every circumstance, telemarketing to a cell phone is against federal law.

"Now, I know you've been here all day, so if you'll just sign this contract without reading it, I'll take your blank check, and you won't not be not loving your time-share before you know it."

"Don't worry, we'll get your 'plasma' TV to you soon enough, but while you're waiting, come look at over here at this development plan..."

Seems Verizon is fighting for customers (http://news.vzw.com/news/2005/09/pr2005-08-31.html) ... I'm not sure what the other carriers are doing, I honestly haven't heard anything about their efforts.
