just got a ticket for an "unsafe start" cvc 22106

22106 CVC – Starting Parked Vehicles or Backing - No person shall start a vehicle that is stopped, standing, or parked on a highway, nor shall any person back a vehicle on a highway until such movement can be made with reasonable safety.

is it possible that highway could be interpreted as a street? i was heading west on via rancho pkwy at the time.

of course im gunna fight it through mail but im jsut wondering if i can use that to my defense:)

you need to provide a little more detail than that. What were you doing to get pulled over?

California Vehicle Code Section 360. "Highway" is a way or place of whatever nature, publicly maintained and open to the use of the public for purposes of vehicular travel. Highway includes street.

Mr. Ticket is your friend.

Check out the white pages business section, a traffic lawyer named Mitchell Mehdy. He is the sole reason I have perfectly clean record despite having been pulled over more than 50 times (stopped counting at 50, have no idea what it's up to now)
