So...

NEVER let someone else drive your dub. No matter how much easier it seems to make your weekend go at the time you're about to make such a stupid decision. NEVER let someone else drive your dub.

I need to replace my drivers side control arm, tie-rod (which was brand new, put in 2 weeks earlier!), axle, and possibly more now that my roomate ran my bug aground on a hefty curb at about 40 mph.

No cash on hand for this that is noteworty, so I'm looking for cheap. Anyone have a 2000 1.8 GTI or bug they are parting out the front end from? Insurance is out of the pciture on this one, and roomate is not rolling in dough, neither am I right now.

Any help locating cheap but good quality used replacements to get my bug moveable again is appreciated. Fortunately I have a spare to put on in place of the wheel he cracked from the inside out all the way across. It's a wonder the tire is still on!

... Oh yeah, and he DROVE IT HOME (about 15 miles) before saying anything.

* end frustration *

Hope everyone else's dubs are in great working order :)
