I've spent a few hours on http://www.sdcommute.com/ trying to find a bus route that would take me from
12633 El Camino Real
92130
to
9655 Towne Centre Drive
92121
Any tips on how to use this site? I feel so dumb for asking this. It seems like their "trip planner" is for day trips, sporting events, etc. I'm looking for a daily commute route.

The nearest stop to 12633 El Camino Real is N TORREY PINES RD & CARMEL VALLEY RD.
So, if you start from there:
FROM TORREY POINT RD & CARMEL VALLEY RD
TO 9655 TOWNE CENTRE DR
Regular Fare: $ 1.75
Senior & Disabled Fare: $ 1.00
1. At 08:03 AM take the 101 UNIV TOWNE CTR
2. Get off the stop at UNIVERSITY TOWN CENTER (ARRIVE) at approximately 08:28 AM.
3. walk 0.2 mile NW from UNIVERSITY TOWN CENTER (ARRIVE) to UNIVERSITY TOWNE CENTER
4. At 08:55 AM take the 31 SCRIPPS RANCH
5. Get off the stop on EASTGATE MALL at TOWNE CENTRE DR at approximately 09:02 AM.
5. walk 0.3 mile NW to 9655 TOWNE CENTRE DR
Looks like you're in for some walking.

Oddly, though, it says Torrey Point Rd. I'm not sure if it's picking the right starting point or not.
Is that close to you?

That's pretty close to me. I believe there's a park & ride station there. That's pretty good, and I don't mind the walking much. May I ask how you got that information? I must be slow because I could never find it.
I may be getting a job a little further from my current one (~5 miles east), and I was trying to find a way to limit wear & tear on my car in general.
Thanks for the help!

I used this (http://www.sdcommute.com/Rider_Information/Trip_Planning/index.asp) but it didn't find a route, so then I used the closest stops (http://www.sdcommute.com/Rider_Information/Trip_Planning/closesStops.asp) to find a stop that looked close.
