I got a black arai that i used for riding my street bike.. Ill let that go for a descent price...
OR if you want a really cool looking one, i got one just for that.... an arai nakano replica...http://www.araiamericas.com/helmets/old/rx_nakano_II.html
Both arai helmets are the RX7 Corsair model..

If this is for autocross, you should be looking for a Snell 2000 or I think even 2005 now. DOT helmets for motorcycles are good but I would pick the right tool for the job since this is something that is going to protect your melon. Bell makes some pretty nice stuff thats very affordable.

Stableenergies.com has good prices.

There is another web site safe-racer.com or something like that. Paul gave me the URL so maybe he will chime in and say what it is.

I picked my helmet up at Dave Turner in Kearny Mesa. Wasn't the cheapest place around but it was a good helmet and not a bad deal. They even helped me pick the right size and all that. I got a Bieffe Jet Auto open face so I'll probably be retiring it for a full face in just a skosh bigger size before I do anything faster than Auto X. I might let susan use it for an auto X helmet.

Steve, I have an extra DOT helmet you can snag for like $10/$20. Give me a call.

Very good idea, it wasnt too long ago the some tire "turds" came through my window and hit me in the face of my helmet. Its happened to other friends who werent running window nets.

snell 2005 won't be available until ~novemeber I believe. full face will be good for karting, open wheel racing (incase you get into formula vee's, radicals), and auto racing. Full face is also safer than 3/4. If you have no airbags that is I would go full face, otherwise accident + steering wheel + face = bad, even with harnesses.

C2 motorsports in Kearny Mesa

They have good prices and a wealth of knowledge. I can't give Steve enough credit, he has given me many deals at his shop. A local and a racer.

Support SD retailers ;)
