My car died on me last night and i just got it back from the shop. I got AAA to drop the car off at my mechanic so he can take a look at it. Turns out it was a lose bolt behind the alternator. He charged me $68 for it. I just got the damn car back from the shop! My thought is, he's not supposed to charge me, it's not my fault... and so i paied and left. I can't raise hell, shit, i don't know how... I'm too fucking nice  So I lost $68 in which was going to go to my BF damn birthday present shipment to him   ...
*and yes mike, i was going to call you, but it was already late, it was about 11PM and i didn't ahve ur number on me*

Was the mechanic working on or around the alternator? If he was, I call shennanigans. Mechanics have been known to leave things half-done so you come back and pay them twice for the same work.
yeah if he just replaced your alternator he shouldn't have charged you.........................

Well, i assume he was working around the alternator because I had it in to have the Front crank shaft seal replaced, rack and pinion, and oil pan gasket.
In the meantime, my parents are paying me back for it.

I call B.S. on that. Go back and ask for your money back, if not, report him to the Chamber of Commerce, BBB, and anyone else you can think of.

See, that's the thing, I didn't raise hell because I wasn't quite sure. I talked to my step-dad and he told me to call my mom so that she can raise hell at them (I can't do it). And he told me that in the meantime, he'll give me back the $68 that i lost.

just call BS on him and tell him $68 was the price of a lost customer.

Um, so yeah... Apparently my mom couldn't get through the guy. The guy kept saying that it wasn't their fault. So yeah, I was told to go to BBB and my step-dad paid me back the money I lost.
BBB is a waste of time......they won't necessarily get you your money, A complaint will be filled away in an archive if some one searches the BBB BEFORE they use this shop is the only way people will know..................
