VW at V
The massive V music festival gets underway this weekend and stars will be arriving from all over the globe to spectate and participate.
Huge names such as Will Young; Dannii Minogue; Jodie Kidd; Kirsty Gallacher; Tara Palmer-Tomkinson; Alastair McGowan; Lady Isabella Hervey; and Leah Wood will be arriving at the festival.
You might be surprised, however to learn that the fleet of cars chauffering them to the venue won't be build by a company as prestigions as Roll Royce or Bentley, cars which these chaps are probarbly more used to. The cars shifting these celebs will be none other than the Humble Volkswagen.
The Phaeton is an ideal luxury* saloon for chauffeuring, with high levels of refinement, space, comfort and safety, and a discreet but assured presence. It is one of the most sophisticated vehicles in its segment, with notable items of technology including a class-leading 4Zone climate control system; laminated side glass; the world’s most powerful passenger car diesel engine to date; 4MOTION four-wheel drive; and CDC air suspension.
The Phaeton already has one of the most comprehensive engine ranges in its class, and this will be expanded further still next year when the V6 TDI is launched. This 225 PS power plant features state-of-the-art piezo injection technology for strong performance matched to economy of almost 30 mpg on the combined cycle. It is set to become by far the best sell*ing engine in the range.
The celebrity guests transported to the V Festival will be treated to a typically strong line-up of artists, with highlights such as Pink; Dido; Basement Jaxx; The Strokes; Massive Attack; N.E.R.D.; Scissor Sisters; Human League; Jamie Cullum; Keane; and Amy Winehouse. The annual festival began in 1996, and has over the years established itself as a major highlight in the British summer festival scene.
