error codes toay help!!

P0420 Catalyst System Efficiency Below Threshold (Bank 1)
P0118 Engine Coolant Temperature Circuit High Input


anyone know what could have caused these codes..i cleared them and so far there has not been a re-occurance:tup:

Do a search on vortex for the codes. The cat one just means your cat isn't warming up enough (which probably means you have an aftermarket exhaust). Not a big deal.

Have you been getting bad gas mileage lately?

That temp sensor one may be as easy as swapping out a bad sensor for 10 bucks.

The cat one could be alot of things from the cat not warming up to it being fouled from running rich. Could even be a bad o2 sensor which is another 15 minute job but a 40 buck part.

Efficiency fault means the cat isn't cleaning the exhaust, no fault of yours, it needs a cat, hopefully its still under warranty

temp sensor is bad, they have updated it, 5 minute fix (its a bitch if its hot)
