So, obviously if you are here at an automotive forum you likely have a bit of a liking for cars in general. I'm sure quite a few younger members are on their first cars, but some may be as bad as me and like to buy something new far too often.

What have you owned? What have you enjoyed? Hated?

Go ahead and list them along with your general opinions of them. I'll work my way back to my first car:

2005 Volvo S60 T5 - Manual (bought August 2005, NEW) : Great car, still getting to know it and so far I'm very impressed. Power is great, but handling could be better. STILL OWN

1999 Honda Insight Hybrid - CVT (bought May 2005, USED) : Amazing. I was able to get 70mpg quite a few times in this car, and even 50+ in heavy traffic coming back from my LA office. I hated selling it. SOLD SEPTEMBER 2005

1999 Chrysler 300M - Auto (bought March 2005, USED) : Comfortable, quick, but a bit slushy. Doesn't corner very well, but the 17" wheels and fat tires help. STILL OWN

2002 Mazda Protege5 - Manual (Bought September 2002, NEW) : Fun to drive, roomy enough inside, good gas mileage, but a bit unreliable. I sold it as soon as the warranty was up. It was a gorgeous little car, in my opinion. Could have used some more power for sure. SOLD JUNE 2005

1996 Ford Crown Victoria Police Interceptor - Auto (bought June 2002, USED) : Big, fast, scary looking. All black w/ black wheels and blue police interior. I'd drive it to my Orange County office when I lived in San Diego, and everyone got out of my way. Too bad I blew the transmission! SOLD SEPTEMBER 2005

1996 Ford Crown Victoria Civilian - Auto (Bought Devember 2001, USED) : Mushy but comfortable. Bigass car with a plush interior. Paid $1000 for it when it had 200,000 miles on the odometer. I put $700 into it, drove it for 20,000 miles, and sold it for $1,900! SOLD AUGUST 2003

1994 Honda Civic LX - Manual (Given to me, first car, September 1999, USED) : Ah, my first car, and why I became a ricer for a while. I threw a body kit, exhaust, etc on it. The one good thing was the suspension. I gutted the interior and had a great setup with my springs/struts and 4 wheel discs brakes. I liked this car a lot, even if it WAS very slow. WRECKED APRIL 2001

hmmm let's see: 2001 jetta w.e. still own and love 1999 isuzu amigo soft top.. eh i won't explain this one 1984 audi 80 (euro).. loved this car to death but couldn't bring back to the US 1995 chevy cavalier... got it for free and then gave it away 1980 lancia prisma... totalled 1984 lancia delta... set on fire (loooong story to that one) 1995 jetta gl.. totalled right when i got back to the US 1970 chevy el camino ss.... got it running for a few months then sold it..

Bubbles : 1974 Volvo 144GL - was my daily driver, but in need of repairs now. -own-
Buttercup : 1986 Volvo 245GL - was my daily driver too. -traded-
Blossom II : 1991 Volvo 745Ti - slightly modded "weekend" car. -own-
The Wayback Machine : 1964 Volvo P220 - project car. -own-
The Parabox : 1990 Volvo 740GL - was my replacement daily driver. -sold-

... and the only non Volvo, and still unnamed, a 1994 Buick Roadmaster Estate. In need of some repairs, and mods. 300hp isn't that far away in this car, really.

197X- Ford Station wagon with wood panels, Grandpa gave it to me before i had a license. DId my first ever tune up and never drove it- Sold
1987 Pontiac Sunbird, 4 door 5 speed. Paid $600 for it, put additional $1200 to keep it running then gave it away to a friend in need.
1985 Olds Cutlass Supreme. Bought for $400. Loved the car, v6 threw a rod, abondoned the car. Still thinkn about getting another.
2001-2002 Bus Pass, had to keep it real
1995 Chevy S-10, got it just after I started College, was a great car but gutless. Had the loudest system out of all my buddies. - Sold
2002 Mitsu Lancer Oz rally, good car, not a single problem, would of kept it if I didnt' need an auto and a lil more room. Traded in for...
2005 Nissan Altima- Great car, never any problems, only had it for one year then traded it in.
1983 VW Rabbit GTi, Fun Car now sold for the second time. Steve saw me putting in a new headliner at our apt and gave me a buis card for "SocalEuro.com" - Sold
2002 Jetta GLS 1.8t- now a Getta, Love it and will have it for a while.... I think.
2002 Ford Explorer, My dog got too big for the ALtima, but now I have no dog. I wish I still had the Altima, this Explorer sucks! - unfourtunately still own.

1969 VW Bug

This was the first thing I drove when I just turned 16 & went to LA for the summer.
It was my Grandmother's car- original owner. Powder blue, with a 3-speed Auto-Stick.
I remember blasting tapes in the boombox on the back seat, with duct tape holding the batteries in, while me & the crew bombed skate spots...
HELLA good times.
Looked like this, but it was all that light blue color.

1969 Chevy Chevelle Malibu Sedan

This was the first one bought in my name. Sweet ride. Gasaholic, tho. Fully redone black interior. Original Gold paint in perfect condition.
I broke a timing chain & bent some valves, so I ended up putting a new engine in it.
Pics are hard to find of the sedan, but it looked like this, except it was gold & a 4-door.

After realizing that a 16 yr old with barely a job can't afford to actually drive a car with guzzling habits like this one,
I traded it to my Mom for her, 1984 Honda Civic
Easy on gas, still fit 5 people, with boards in the trunk, and it was a quick little get away car.

The most cars I owned at one time was 3, the Acura, Bronco, and Fox... Dang! I go through cars every 6months aprox. Hahaha- what I didn't mention was that I got my Acura back after my 2.slow was sold...
