Why use Paint Sealant?!?

You probably know that unless you protect your vehicle's paint, it will soon begin to deteriorate from environmental damage. Your vehicle's paint is under constant attack by the sun's UV rays, industrial fallout, acid rain, insects, and other environmental factors that slowly damage and destroy your finish. Left unprotected, your car's paint will suffer irreversible damage. Regular car waxes and polishes simply can't last long enough to provide the constant protection necessary to guard against this type of damage. Most are made from carnauba waxes that only are meant to create the shine, but when it comes to protecting they just don’t cut it for long term protection. The use of wax is absolutely the best way to enhance the luster in your vehicles paint, but with today’s technology in polymer paint sealants they too create luster, depth, and protection all in one! Imagine protecting your vehicle's paint with a tough outer coating that protects it from the elements for up to a year with a slick finish that actually keeps it cleaner!

Don’t get caught paying dealership prices of $450+ with claims of it lasting 5 years…

PROTECT YOUR SUV, CAR, BOAT, MOTORHOME, OR MOTOCYCLE THE RIGHT WAY, The C&E way!

How long does the coat last? Will it rub off after acouple car washes?
If I drive through mud will this be ruined?

A polymer paint sealant can last up to 10-12 HONEST months. Many dealerships claim their sealant/"teflon" is capable of 3 years protection, however this is absolutely unheard of! This product will not just rub off after a few washes, however it can definitely start breaking down if not washed properly. You can prevent this by staying away from ANY drive through wash, "touch free" or not! As for mud....stay outta that! :ha: You should not have a problem at all, just rinse it very thoroughly before you hit it with your soapy wash pad/mitt/sponge.

Chris, did you get any pics of it before you put it back in its stall?

Thanks a lot!

Chris,
I forget where I saw it, but I remember seeing a large picture gallery of cars that you detailed. I checked your website, but I only found one page of pics. (the silver Jetta)
Soooo
1) Can someone point me towards that gallery? I searched but found nothing.
2) Chris, next time you clean either my S6 or the A6, if you feel I am gallery-worthy, can you take a few pictures of the car and put them up somewhere. I don't have a good camera right now, and I'm really REALLY happy with the way the S6 turned out.
Really happy.
Really.
:D

THANKS!

I was unable to take any picture.....

cause I left my camera in my car! Sorry Tony!

Chris which paint sealant do you use?

Man you should see how many I have!!!! From Poorboys to Rightlook. With my experience in using sealants and teflons I choose according to the color and make of the car (clear coat quality) so it would be very hard for me to just use one. Not to mention I just like trying new products to ensure I am using the best available.

I'm sure my mother in law wouldn't mind having a pics of her car put up there, too. Hers was the black MB C43 parked next to the S6.

This was from 2 days after Chris cleaned it, and it's still pretty damn clean.
http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y123/CALLAAA/detailed2-1.jpg

And then some guy cme along and airbrushed a picture of an S4 into the side of it. Can you believe the crime in Rancho Bernardo?

(this picture was not intended to show the quality of C&E's work. It's just one of the few pictures I have of this car when it was clean)

Please explain to me the use of TEFLON?

Please explain to me the use of TEFLON?

It is used the same way as a paint sealant. To my knowledge the word "teflon" is owned by DuPont. I have used many sealants with "teflon" and never have I seen it last the "5 years," dealer's claim......only with 6 month reapplication! HA! It is hard to believe anything could protect that long. There are so many variables to consider: will the car be parked in a garage, are they in winter climates or do they live in south texas. how does the owner treat the car? hand wash, scratch-o-matics, never washed. How do you know if it's still protecting after 3 or 4 years...? From what I have seen the best protection will last ya no longer than a year. Bottom line.

My fuzzy dice wouldn't be fuzzy no more :(

Thanks for the IM reply. Outstanding pricing

2 more quick Qs then I'll be down to drop a couiple of cars on ya.

Do you use DI water?

I have a non clearcoat single stage paint on one of my cars. Will this need to be applied more often?

Yes, I do use DI water.

No need to apply more often, but I would start off with a good 2 coats.
