But having friends kicks ass.

So, I'm posting this email from my buddy kevin who used to write for the Direct TV sports web site. He's a real good guy I've known for a few years now. So if anyone has any leads, shoot him an email.

Start Forwarded Email:

Hello all...

As I've been telling a few of you over the past month or so, the new Senior VP--now CEO after the Pres. "stepped down"--simply had it our for me. Well, yesterday she decided it was time to "restructure" the department and "eliminate" my position. Ironically, I am the only one in the deptartment, which is evident when you go to http://www.directvsports.com/Editorial/. The page is a mess, as I was unemployed and locked out of being able to fix it.

The problem I have is she accused me of lying about the hours I work. Well, nothing could be further from the truth, so I am probably going to seek whatever legal recourse I can find. I've never received one negative comment from client or former bosses, in fact just the opposite.

Anyway, please make my day a little brighter by taking a minute to call 1-800-494-4388, press 0, 1, 0, 4 or or go to http://www.directv.com/DTVAPP/glb/Form_Feedback.dsp and complain about DIRECTVSPORT.com site today. Home page flaw, lack of updated information for today. Those complaints (especially of they get a few calls or more) get back to my former employer very quickly.

Thanks,

Kev

PS...My resume is attached, if anyone knows of an opening for writer/editor, copywriter, marketing (mid-level) or picking up poo.
