So I have been searching the prices for each of the "big three" if you will in the chip game and have seen GIAC for a good 300 or so less than the others? any reason for that or do they just kick that much ass?

really? I know GIAC, APR, and REVO are all $500 for the 1.8t 91 octane program.

They are all pretty much the same price for the same level chips.

I think they have some lower performance level ones for cheaper.

Maybe you're thinking of Upsolute?

UPsolute, Neuspeed, and a few others have chips at $350 or less -- they do not increase power to the same levels as GIAC, APR, or RevoTechnik, which sell at $500.

when i was pricing chips for my A4, they all seemed like they were in the 500 range. in all the cars i drove, i think that revo was the best software going. eurocode is the biggest dealer of revo out here i believe. if you decide t go revo definately check them out; great people.

You can find some GIAC dealers who will do the 91 Oct program for $300- ... but yeah, pretty much all the software makers keep it about the same price so they don't undercut each other and then they all lose out on the $$.

i think all the 1.8t chips are around $500+ except Neuspeed and maybe Upsolute

300 Is Usually For The Hand Held Giac Flashloader To Switch Programs, I Git It For 150 But Its For 300 In The Magz. But The Chips Start At 500.

Iv gotten quotes from a couple places near San Diego for a GIAC flash for my R32, and they are all right around 300 for a single 91 octane program. 150 for flash loader, 50 for each additional program (like 100octain, valet, etc)
