The radical rules alterations proposed by FIA president Max Mosley have mostly been approved in today’s meeting of the Formula 1 Commission in London, marking a significant political victory for the man expected to be re-elected to command the motorsports international governing body for four more years....

Furthermore, an unprecedented split rear-wing and slick tires - provided by a single manufacturer - will debut in ‘07, with an eye toward increasing passing maneuvers by allowing F1 cars to closely follow each other - a virtual impossibility nowadays, given the turbulence generated by the present machines’ copious amounts of downforce.

Its getting more and more interesting.

Which series has the button the driver can use to temporarily get a more powerful fuel map? I know it sounds like a video game with a "boost" button but thats seriously what it does. They run a slightly less restrictive map for a limited amount of time by pressing it.

Champ Car. Their "boost button" (Push to Pass) does make things interesting.

yeah champ car has push to pass. now if i could only find those lil nitro boost pickups like in the video games......wsssssssssh:smokem:

looking forward to the change and retro styling that the future entails for the cars

The new A1 Grand Prix has a similar feature with their cars.
