Hey guys Im about to aquire a set of HP Evo's 18x8. Im gonna pick them up thursday. I have just a quick question though... ummm the guy who is selling them to me said that he used them with spacers. I asked them if they will fit without spacers he said that he thinks so. He also said that if they don't it will only be by a few millimeters and that I could just file the caliper down a bit. Now does anyone here have any experience with these wheels on their GTI?!? I have stock brakes and suspension. I can't wait to put them on and take some pictures :D

With a little reaearce you can find your answer on the net. It i searly so I look to find the answer to your question. My offset is 38mmm and w/o spacers they are to close to my rear calipers. There is a credit card gap between the wheels and calipers.
GET SPACERS. DO NOT FILE YOUR CALIPERS.
Final..... note those are some nice wheels. They will look good.

heh, kinda sad that we couldnt get the wheels off by ourselves last night. lol
that wheel shop torqued the hell outta them. and on top of that, all the local wheel shops dont have the spacers for your car.
who knew installing new wheels would take so long. :(

w00t. After you left Jesse. I went down to that "mod" shop tire place. The people there were jerks. I just fucken left. After that I went to the little shop down the street and BAM! They had the spacers w00t. Heheh. We test fitted them and the wheels are a reasuring distance away from the calipers. Whew. Ima go wash my car now :D
