Group 5 Performance is the local performance shop for most people around here. A lot of people get their stuff online. Bugzy can chime in with the best paint shops in town. For installation, you might try just asking around here. There's usually a few wrenchheads that are more than happy to help out.

Group 5 usually has parts in stock for our cars and for the most part know what they are talking about. I've noticed they tend to lean more towards the conservative side when it comes to performance parts, but I think that is only because they don't want reliablity to be an issue for you. Install on just about everything is pretty easy. I'm fairly new to the Vdub Audi world and have yet to pay anyone to do anything to my car other then install a chip to the ECU. Bugzy is the man to talk to though for hook ups on just about anything to do with our cars. Enjoy the Jetta and guess we will be seeing you at the gtg's.

Group5 or PureMS.com is best place in San Diego area for euros.
I would check out www.sinfulenhancements.com or GA Coachworks for paint/body.
Welcome to SoCalEuro !
