During the canyon run on Sunday, my stock brake fluid boiled over and had no stopping power. Lucky for me, i had a patch of gravel to stop me rather than a 100 ft cliff. My car still brakes, but its not the best. So, does this mean i have to change the fluid as soon as possible? Since my brakes still work, is there a possibility of them abruptly going out, or can i use my car til i get new fluid some time in the near future? TIA
My brake setup are cross-drilled and slotted 337 Front and rear rotors and Mintex Pads.

likely pads were overheated and glazed heavily. Good idea to flush the fluid and check the pads and possibly be ready to replace the pads.

No, my brakes lost pressure and i ended up having to pump the brakes to regain some pressure in order to stop. The pads are crap though, those are gonna get changed anyway. But can still drive my car with the fluid already have been boiled?
you can, just change it before you do any more canyon running. switch to the ATE blue fluid
Mintex pads are crap? I recently had a bad experiacne with a set of red boxes the mushed out of the backing on the pad and cocked in my caliper yolks and burned down to nothing in 30 miles!
the set before were Pagid, which I liked, and before that, I had Mintex C-tec which were great.

Thanx. I actually have a 1 liter of that fluid sitting in my garage and collecting dust. I haven't had a chance of changing it out. I'm def. gonna do it before the next run. I'm probably gonna leave the rear pads alone, but i am gonna change the fronts to the Hawks HPS. I've heard some good reviews and i'm gonna try them out. We'll see for the next run how they perform. Hopefully i don't end up in a ditch somewhere. lol

We changed the GTI over to the Hawk HPS from Mintex Redbox. Very happy with the stopping ability and they give off less dust. They don't grab quite as well when cold, but they don't stay that way for long.
Edit: and get that fluid changed! :p Old fluid isn't just dangerous, but also very bad for your brake system.
