I like that your first mod to the Insight was a 12 pack of Guiness.

God, I don't know. Well, I do know. I wanted to capitalize on the spike in gas prices post-Katrina. Demand for used hybrids skyrocketed and I didn't really NEED the car anymore, so I sold it for a nice profit.
I regret it, though. Not so much for the mileage thing, but it was just such a fantastically badass little car and the 300M is so boring and blah in comparison.
If I can find a 5spd insight with a ton of miles on it and a new battery pack on the cheap, I'll probably pick it up sometime in the future. No other car has put so many smiles on my face.

You know... A case of guiness doesn't make the insight any more manly
So whats the deal with the interceptor?

I don't want to cry, but I'll tell you about the interceptor.
Bought it from a friend 3 years ago, for $4500. 1996 ex highway patrol, all black, great condition, 65,000 miles or so. Used it and the Protege5 as my daily drivers when I commuted from San Diego to Lake Forest. I would sustain 100mph or so on the entire drive, and everyone got the hell out of my way.
The tranny started going to crap, and eventually died. I parked it at my office and left it there for over a year, just sold it to a fellow employee for $300 so I could stop worrying about it. He dropped about a grand into it and now it's tip top and a fucking beast again.
4.6L V8!
Here's the only photos I can find of it, along with the protege5 :

It was BUTTERY smooth at 110+mph, not that I really took it that fast
It had a blue interior, and 'stab proof' seats. The entire backseat could be removed in about 3 seconds, since I guess cops always check under the seat for drugs after taking someone in.

To bad you couldn't get one with the spotlights still installed.
