FS: Toyo T1-R 225/50/15 Almost Brand New

    Hi all,

I'm selling a set of 4 almost brand new (wiil check, but I'm pretty sure less than 500 miles use) Toyo T1-R tires (the fairly new replacement for their well regarded T1-S) in a size 225/50/15. Price including tax and shipping from most cheap internet places e.g. http://www.edgeracing.com is about $470. I'll sell mine for $300 firm, local pickup only.

Reason I'm selling : Their steering response and traction seems really great, but since I have super stiff suspension (570F / 400R), it seems to be overpowering their softish sidewalls, so they seem to exhibit some rollover resulting in less control than I would like. For most people with soft - medium suspension this is probably much less of an issue. Anyway, it's Toyo's Ultra High Performance Radial and has good Treadwear (280), Traction (AA), and Temperature (A) ratings. Below is is the description from their website.

IM me or email me at silver_vr6@hotmail.com if interested.

    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------

The new Proxes T1Râ„¢ combines innovative Toyo T-Modeâ„¢ technology with knowledge from our participation in motorsports. Innovation through competition is the Toyo philosophy.

That translates into building a tire with optimum balance in construction and compounding to deliver the exceptional wet and dry performance you expect for many different driving conditions. The Proxes T1R is available in 14” to 21” rim sizes and sports UTQG ratings of 280 AA A.

Got a pic of them? How wide of a wheel were you running them on?

Dont have pics of them on my car, but there is a pic of them here :

    http://www.toyo.com/tires/tire_lines...s_car/tr1.html

As far as rim width goes, the specs are here :

    http://www.toyo.com/tires/tire_specsheet.cfm?id=20

The 225/50/15 can be used on a 6.0-8.0 inch rim width. I used them on 6.5" wide Corrado Speedlines.

These are a bargain considering they are about $170 cheaper than new, and have very little mileage on them.

Let me know if you are interested.

    Thanks.

A stock image is fine for tread design, but I want a pic of it on the rim. I'm currently running 215/45/15 T1-s's on a 15x8 and I wanted to see how these compare to that as far as width & sidewall on the wheel & on the car.

Pics of Toyo 225/50/15 T1-Rs on my Mk II

Here is a pic of the Toyo 225/50/15 T1-Rs on my Mk II :

    http://www.socaleuro.com/gallery/sho...php?i=714&c=12

Note : In the pic, I am running 15 mm spacers in the front and 20mm spacers on the rear. This is mainly because I have the ride height set pretty low, and I wanted good clearance betweem the rims and the coilovers for the track (my H&R RSS Clubsport coilovers stick out in that area where they change from the helper springs to the main springs). Depending on your suspension and rim offset, you may or may not need spacers.

    HTH.
