I'm sure it was just the angle of the shot, but those pedestrians looked awfully close.

sorry but BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA... I feel bad for the spectators behind the wall but glad they were behind and not in front like at previous events.
This could be bad for the autox events at qualcomm which are not operated in anywhere near as unsafe of a manner as the drift events. (slower speeds).
Either way 5 cars made contact... and life goes on.

he laid into the brakes too hard and for too long, steering no wooku whith brakes locked up.

At what point do you just say "this event is unsafe" and close it? Thats quite a bit of twisted metal for a day.
I'm not sure what the rules are for these things but AutoX has rules as to where non-moveable objects can be in relation to the track. That tree was pretty close and at the end of a straight.
The pedestrians looked to be in little danger. No more so than people attending any other track event.This signature intentionally left blank.
