Re: SoCal Alignment Shops
Don't forget Performance Tire on Miramar Road.
Just because Tony had a bad experience there doesn't make them bad. I've taken multiple cars there for years and never had any problems. Shit, they kept the tires that were on the Audi lasting for about 2 years as low as it sat.

Re: SoCal Alignment Shops
I told the dude. "I'm from SoCalEuro. You come highly recommended in our circle."
and he was like "oh. cool. That'll be about $130."
me: "wow. that's steep. higher than I expected."
him: "well. it takes time for my mechanic to put it up on the rack. We can check to see if you need 4 wheel or just two... for just $35."
me: "how fast can it be done?"
him: "oh. we'll finish it in about an hour or so."
me: :-/

EF1 Motorsports in Long Beach.
It's a pure Motorsports shop. Clean, tons of room, and very professional work. They have a Hunter Rack. Did my last car ('99 Passat 1.8T) for $60.

Re: SoCal Alignment Shops
I believe Clarence Brown also does the high speed balancing while the wheel/tire is on the car. You might need to double check with them because I can't remember if it was them or Trueline.

Yup Ling.. you are correct. They do on the car high speed balancing and it is the shit if you want the ultra smooth ride. Mark over there usually does it and he has done a great job on my car for years.

Ditto, I was wondering why it was $20 more for a bimmer. I was quoted $60 for the front and $130+ for all four.
I had my rears done, when I got new tires, @ BeeLine BUT the indy shop I regularly goto recommends Clarence Brown and told me to stay away from BeeLine.
How is Creative?

Re: SoCal Alignment Shops
Don't forget y'all that when it comes to the Bimmers that there is a unique process that is done for a true alignment. Specifically that the tank must be full and that car is fully laden. Usually this is done by placing specific weights in all passenger seats. Most places won't even attempt to align and those that do prolly won't use these standards and will need realigning soon.
FWIW, Clarence Brown has done all my alignments and I have had no complaints...

...and I'm assuming that clarence brown fully ladens the vehicle in their process of aligning?
They should also throw in the full tank of gas, it would make the $130 much more appealing.

Re: SoCal Alignment Shops
I take my cars to Bee Line in PB kinda by In N Out. $92 for a 4 wheel alignment (if you have 19" wheels), 69 if you have smaller wheels.

Re: SoCal Alignment Shops
Align Tech in Santa Ana is great. 45 dollars for a front end alignment. Sometimes they will have a special and you can get front and back done for 45.
